DAYTON, Ohio - Freshman Matt Lemon was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week on Monday after finishing first for the Flyers for the third consecutive meet. Lemon recorded a time of 25:14 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals Saturday en route to his second fastest time of the season.

Lemon placed 175th overall at the meet out of a field of top-tier runners from around the nation. It is the second time this season the Bowling Green, Ohio native has earned the weekly honor. He was also named the Conference's Performer of the Week on October 1 for recording a new freshman 8K record time of 24:53 at the Greater Louisville Classic.

The men's and women's cross country teams will return to action Saturday, October 27 for the A-10 Championships in Philadelphia.
