DAYTON, OH - University of Dayton Freshman Mike Andersen was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for his performance at the All-Ohio Championships. He finished 35th in the event with a time of 26:59.

Andersen has been a standout since his first race at UD, when he finished 15th at the Flyer 5K Challenge. He also finished 17th at the National Catholic Invitational and 60th at the Greater Louisville Classic.

He has been the first Flyer across the finish line in each of his first four collegiate starts, and his time at the National Catholic Invitational was good enough for ninth on the UD Harrier Heroes list, which is the top 35 all-time personal best five mile times. Andersen also holds spots 27 and 36 on the all-time fastest five mile times list.

Andersen and the rest of the men's team heads to Bowling Green, OH for the Falcon Invitational Saturday, October 15 at 11:30 A.M. The women's team rolls into Terre Haute, IN, at 11:00 A.M. on the same day to run in the NCAA Pre-Nationals.
