DAYTON, Ohio - The men's and women's cross country programs both earned Atlantic 10 honors this week as two freshmen Flyers were recognized for their strong performances at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday. Matt Lemon was named the A-10 Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week, while Maureen Bulgrin was tabbed the Conference's Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Maureen Bulgrin has made a major impact so far this season on the women's side. The freshman Flyer has led UD in every meet this year and this past weekend in Louisville she recorded the sixth-best personal record in women's cross country history with her 18:15 finish (30th overall).

Matt Lemon also had an impressive finish on Saturday. He led the men's team and recorded a new freshman 8K record time of 24:53 (35th overall) en route to a personal best time. It is the second time in two weeks a freshman has recorded a new men's cross country record. Matt's twin brother, Chris Lemon broke the record just two weeks ago at the National Catholic Invite.

Both teams return to action on Friday, October 5 at the All-Ohio Championships. Results can be found on www.DaytonFlyers.com proceeding the race.
