Terra Haute, IN - Competing against some of the country's best at the 2007 NCAA Pre-Nationals on Saturday, the University of Dayton cross country team finished 37th overall in a field of 38 top-tier programs.

The Flyers were led by freshman Matt Lemon for the third straight race. Lemon crossed the line in 25:14 and claimed 175th overall on the day.

Lemon's twin brother, Chris, followed with a time of 25:26 to place second for Dayton.

Senior Billy Przybyla was the third Flyer under the 26:00 mark, finishing 207th overall in a time of 25:39.

Rounding out the scoring for Dayton were juniors Tom Middleton (27:12, 250) and Tim Kaelin (27:47, 254) along with sophomore Brad Boyd (27:25, 251).

Freshman Ryan Shirley finished in a time of 27:54 to claim 255th for UD.

Next up for Dayton will be the Atlantic 10 Championships, which will take place in Philadelphia, PA. The conference meet is scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 27 with a 10:00 AM start.
