Results

The University of Dayton Flyer Men's Cross Country 4 X 800m relay team took first place at the February 3rd Cedarville University Indoor Invitational, establishing a new team record of 8:10.65. This time shattered the previous team record by 21-seconds, which was set in 1995 and is only 34-hundredths of a second behind the team's current 4 X 800m Relay Outdoor Record.

Each man; sophomore Dan Sammons (2:01.64), junior Matt Danis (2:03.94), junior Eric Contreras (2:03.67) and freshman Matthew Peters (2:01.3) established a Flyer Personal Best 800m time during the event.

Matthew Peters also placed 4th overall in the 14-team meet's mile with a personal best of 4:34.10. Junior Matt Manning lowered his outdoor 5000m personal best by 4-seconds with a 16:29.61 indoor clocking.

The next meet on the Men's Cross Country Spring Schedule will be the Scarlet & Gray Indoor Meet at Ohio State University on Saturday, Feb. 18.
