2006
Adam Miller was one of two seniors to walk onto the team for four straight years, a very impressive feat. He began his training for the fall with several strong track meets in the spring. He finished the season running 17:21.59 in the 5,000m and 4:49 in the Mile. Continuing his training into the summer, Miller was able to finish his career with a personal best race at the Bowling Green Falcon Invitational. In less than ideal conditions, he ran the course in 28:17 in his last race as a Dayton Flyer.
2005
Miller, back for his third year, battled injury and competed in four varsity races for the Flyers. At the National Catholic Invitational, he managed to drop over 40 seconds from last year and came very close to setting a new personal best time. He set three track personal bests, with one coming at the mile and the others at the 5000 meters.
2004
Miller put in a great summer, but experienced an unlucky break when injury arose right before the walk-on tryout. Running through some intense pain, Miller ran fast enough to secure one of the remaining roster positions. Although his injury prevented him from racing the complete season, he was able to put forth some solid efforts and was a constant source of motivation and inspiration for the team. Next year, a healthy Miller hopes to complete the season with a new personal best time.
2003
After a summer of consistent training, Miller made the varsity squad as a walk-on. He continued to work hard every day in practice to improve. Miller dropped nearly one-minute from his first 8K race time at Bowling Green to setting his personal best of 28:23 at the Chicago Lakefront Invitational. At the All-Ohio Championships he was the only Flyer to run in the Open Race, running a time which would have placed him as the varsity's seventh-man. Miller brought focus and spirit to the four varsity races in which he competed.
