2006
Tony made the squad as a walk-on for the fourth time in his career due to his very strong summer training routine. He started off on the right foot in the spring, setting a personal best in the 5,000m (16:48) in his only outdoor meet of the year at Wilmington College. After a rigorous summer, Holtvoigt set a personal best at the Flyer 5K (16:51) and had a consistent season finishing in the Top 10 for UD in almost every race. On a windy day at Bowling Green State University, Tony came within 10 seconds of his personal best and ran a strong 27:59. He leaves a legacy as one of the hardest workers on the team.
2005
Holtvoigt is a hard worker, and he put in a lot of training over the summer in order to walk on to the team for the third year in a row. That is probably why he set a PB this year in his first 8K at the National Catholic Championships in a time of 27:40, which is seconds lower then his old one. He ran consistent times at both the Greater Louisville Invitational (27:44) and the A-10 Championship (27:43). He ran a total of four varsity races and two open races in 2005 and has the potential to continue to improve next year.
2004
After putting in a summer's worth of hard work, Holtvoigt again earned a "walk-on" position on the team at the intra-squad 5K. He competed in five varsity races and two junior varsity races. He challenged his personal best of 28:00 with finishes of 28:08 at NCAA Pre-Nationals and 28:01 at the National Catholic Championships. Holtvoigt is expected to have a good track season and use that success to help him set personal bests next season.
2003
Holtvoigt earned a walk-on position on the team at the Intra-squad 5K. He competed in four varsity races and one junior varsity race. His Personal Best time of 28:00 was set in the junior varsity division of the National Catholic Championships.
