LEMON HONORED AS A-10 STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE YEAR AS FOUR FLYER HARRIERS ARE NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE SQUAD

The Atlantic 10 Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon that Flyer cross country members Chris Lemon, Matt Lemon, Maureen Bulgrin and Liz Coorey had all been named to the 2009 Academic All-Conference Team. Chris was also honored additionally as the A-10's Student-Athlete of the Year. MORE

DAYTON CROSS COUNTRY HAS GOOD RACES AT THE NCAA GREAT LAKES REGIONAL

The University of Dayton cross country program traveled to Bloomington, Ind. on Saturday afternoon to compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet. With a team trip to the NCAA Championships at stake, the men placed 13th overall in the men's division race and the women finished 14th out of 32 teams. MORE

FLYER CROSS COUNTRY AIMING FOR FIRST-EVER NCAA BERTHS AT REGIONAL MEET

The University of Dayton men's and women's cross country programs, fresh off a successful showing at the Atlantic 10 Championships, will be competing in the 2009 NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship on Saturday, Nov. 14. The men's race will begin at 12:00 p.m. ET and the women's race will begin at 1:15 p.m. ET. Hosting the meet will be Indiana University, as its championship cross country course will offer both Flyer squads the chance to qualify as teams for their first-ever NCAA Championship appearance. LEMON TAKES TITLE, LEADS TEAM TO THIRD OVERALL AT A-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS

The University of Dayton men's cross country program achieved its best-ever finish with a third-place result at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday. The team braved wet and muddy conditions over the 8K race at Saint Louis' Forest Park Course. MORE
