ANN ARBOR, Mich. - UD men's tennis completed their tournament play on day two at the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In singles play, senior Rob Altenau (North Bend, OH) defeated Kyle Markham from the University of Iowa 6-3, 6-3. He was on his way to a qualifying spot in the national championship only to be stopped by Adam Monich of Michigan State University 6-3, 7-6(3). In other singles action, sophomore Tom Murphy (Carmel, IN) lost to Stefan Naughton from University of Louisville 6-2, 6-2.

Altenau and senior Jon Khoury (Cincinnati, OH) could not claim victory in doubles play against Formanczy-Rinks from the University of Louisville, with a loss of 8-6.

The ITA Regional Championships completed the men's tennis fall season. The team will begin play January 22, 2005 against Butler.
