FAIRBORN, Ohio - UD men's tennis came out with a bang in Day 1 of the Wright State Invitational on Friday.

The Flyers took a short drive to Fairborn, Ohio and faced teams from Wright State University, Cedarville University, Xavier University, and Sinclair Community College.

The team made a strong stand in doubles rounds 1 and 2, with wins by freshman James O'Connell (Toledo, OH)/sophomore Tom Murphy (Carmel, IN), senior Rob Altenau (North Bend, OH)/senior Jon Khoury (Cincinnati, OH), junior Jamison Downs (Indianapolis, IN)/freshman Peter Oakes (Centerville, OH), and freshman Chris Jones (Canton, OH)/sophomore Rex Cabrera (Hoffman Estates, IL).

Singles matches were also dominated by the Flyer men. Wins were clinched by Murphy, J. O'Connell, Khoury, Cabrera, Jones, and freshman Brendan Baumann (Columbus, OH).
