MICHAEL ROHANA NAMED ALL-ATLANTIC 10 FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR
May 12, 2009
PHILADELPHIA - University of Dayton junior tennis player Michael Rohana has been named First Team All-Atlantic 10, the conference office announced today. The selection was by a vote of the league's coaches. Rohana, UD's number one singles player, was also named to the A-10's first team in 2008. As a freshman, the Indianapolis Cathedral High School graduate was named second team all-conference. Rohana is a two-time Flyer MVP. In 2009, he turned in a 5-15 singles record and a 5-14 doubles record. Three of his singles victories came against all-conference performers. He has also defeated Doug Matthews, the two-time A-10 Player of the Year from Xavier, in both of the last two seasons. The Flyers finished 7-16 in dual matches on the year, and placed ninth at the Atlantic 10 Championship. UD returns six of eight letterwinners for next year. |
