FLYERS SELECTED AS SECOND SEED IN A-10 MEN'S TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS
April 8, 2005 Atlantic 10 Championship Information | Atlantic 10 Championship Bracket The University of Dayton has been selected as the second seed in the 2005 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championships which begin Friday at Oxford Athletic Club in Monroeville, Pa. In a conference's with the head coaches from each school in the Atlantic 10, Defending Champion Richmond was selected as the top seed. Dayton and Xavier round out the top three teams which all receive byes to Friday's Quarterfinals. Dayton will begin play at 2 p.m. Friday against the winner of the #7 Duquesne/#10 Fordham match. The Flyers will then play again Saturday at 11 a.m. if they win or in an elimination match at 8 a.m. if they lose on Friday. UD enters the Atlantic 10 Championships with a 14-6 record this Spring including wins over A-10 opponents Duquesne, George Washington and Xavier. James O'Connell, Rob Altenau, Rex Cabrera and Jonathan Khoury have each reached double digits in singles wins this Spring as O'Connell leading the way with 11 victories.
