Monroeville, PA - It was a great run for Dayton men's tennis, but the team's bid to appear in two consecutive A-10 Tournament title games ended today. A 4-1 loss at the hands of the defending champion Richmond Spiders sent the Flyers packing Saturday evening. The loss also snapped a four match winning streak for UD, it was their second longest streak of the season. Dayton will now face off with Temple University in the third place game Sunday.

UD lost the doubles point by dropping two-of-three matches to Richmond. Winners for the Flyers were freshmen David Peyton and Brad Roby. The rookie tandem beat Chris Louis and Dave Berry 8-3.

The Flyers had just one winner in singles as well. Junior Rex Cabrera picked up the lone Dayton point with a third singles victory over Sami Belakhlef 6-2, 6-2.

With the loss Saturday, the Flyers go into the third place game with the Owls Sunday sporting a 12-12 record on the season. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
