Results

Monroeville, PA - The #7 Flyers met up with the #10 Fordham Rams this morning and the seeds' held as UD came away with a 4-0 decision. The win keeps the tennis season alive and puts UD back to .500 form with an 11-11 record on the season.

Three matches were unable to finish, but UD was leading the way in two of the three contests. Sophomore James O'Connell (13-4) was a big winner at second singles over Mike Misiti 6-2, 6-4. Senior Jamison Downs also showed up to play in a huge way today grabbing a 6-1, 6-0 decision to beat Pat Tool at the four spot.

Dayton swept the doubles point and now looks forward to the second round of the A-10 Tourney.

The Flyers will meet a familiar foe in the arch-rival Xavier Musketeers at 5:00 PM. With a second straight trip to the semi-finals on the line Dayton will be looking for some revenge against the #2 Muskies, especially after losing 5-2 against Xavier earlier this season.
