Rob Altenau won both his singles and doubles match

ORLANDO, FL - The University of Dayton men's tennis team won its second-straight match in Florida Tuesday with a win over Salve Regina. Five Flyers picked up singles victories.

The Flyers move to 10-6 overall with the win over Salve Regina, a Division III school located in Newport, Rhode Island. Earlier in the day, Dayton defeated Carthage.

James O'Connell defeated Matt Urbanetti, 6-3, 6-2, to open up singles and Rob Altenau rolled over Tim McAusher, 6-0, 6-2. Rex Cabrera and freshman Chris Jones each posted 6-1, 6-2 victories for the Flyers, over the Seahawks' John Crim and Jason Lago, respectively. Joshua Vance downed Adam Asselin, 6-2, 6-2, and the lone Flyer to not post the victory was Peter Oakes, who couldn't beat the clock. His match with SRU's Quat Vu (SRU), did not finish.

In doubles action, Murphy and J. O'Connell earned an 8-2 win over Crim and Robbie Norton Crim. Altenau and Vance defeated Lago and Nick Drinkwine, 8-2. Oakes teamed with Cabrera to meet Urbanetti and McAusher in a match that did not finish.

Dayton also met Cornell in Orlando and will return home to host Xavier on Wednesday, March 30, at Dayton Center Courts.
