WASHINGTON, DC - The University of Dayton men's tennis team came up short in a battle against the Richmond Spiders, 5-2, on Saturday.

Sophomores Tom Murphy (Carmel, IN) and Rex Cabrera (Hoffman Estates, IL) led Dayton's efforts with singles wins.

Murphy had a #2 singles win over Matt Cabana by a score of 6-4, 6-4. Cabrera had a win over Matt Stillwagon (UR) by a score of 6-3, 4-6(8).

Despite the tough loss, the Flyers hold a season record of 5-3 overall and are 1-1 against A-10 opponents. They face St. Bonaventure this Friday, February 25 at 9:00 a.m.
