Dayton, OH - Dayton men's tennis took a rough home beating at the hands of the Indiana State Sycamores on Friday afternoon. After winning two of their last three matches, UD was dealt a 6-1 loss at Dayton Center Courts yesterday. UD's dual match record falls to 2-5 with the defeat.

Senior Tom Murphy (7-0) was the lone bright spot for the Flyers, winning his seventh match of the spring and recording Dayton's lone point. Murphy quickly recovered after dropping his first set of the season to defeat ISU's Anton Tsymbalov 4-6, 6-3 (10-6).

ISU wrestled two of three doubles matches away from the Flyers, but senior Rex Cabrera and sophomore David Peyton were able to win at the two spot. They took care of the Sycamores' Michael Wenham and Bruno Echer 8-5.

Dayton will remain home to take on two opponents next weekend. First, the Flyers will look to remain unbeaten against A-10 opponents this season when they face off with the George Washington Colonials. First serve is scheduled for 10 AM on Saturday. Directly following the morning match, UD will host IUPUI at 5 PM.
