DAYTON - The Dayton men's tennis team fell to Toledo Saturday, 4-3 in a heartbreaker at Dayton Center Courts.

The Flyers swept the doubles competition, when seniors Jonathan Khoury (Cincinnati, OH) and Rob Altenau (North Bend, OH) defeated Tony Tran and Freddy Gomez (UT) by a score of 8-3. Sophomore Tom Murphy (Carmel, IN) and freshman James O'Connell (Toledo, OH) defeated a Toledo duo of Travis Curran and Cristobal Toral by a score of 8-5. At #3 doubles junior Jamison Downs (Indianapolis, IN) and freshman Chris Jones (Canton, OH) were victorious over Brian Rager and Josh Moran (UT), 9-7.

However in singles action, Dayton mangaged just two victories to Toledo's four. Khoury was victorious over Toral, 6-4, 6-1 while Altenau defeated Tony Tran of Toledo 6-3, 6-2.

The Flyers head to Columbus Tuesday to face Cleveland State at Noon.
