2006-07: During his rookie season, Hartig went 5-8 in singles play, mostly at the six spot...also played some doubles during the spring, going 0-3 with fellow freshman Matt Sherman.

High School: Comes to UD from Wahlert High School in Dubuque, Iowa where he was the 1A state champion in 2006. Hartig was also a two-time state runner-up as a sophomore and junior at Walhert. He finished his high school career as the #1 ranked singles player in Iowa.
