CATCHING UP WITH CHRIS ROLFE
Dec. 28, 2006 USSoccerPlayers.com caught up with former Dayton Flyer Chris Rolfe recently to discuss his selection to the US camp, as well as his training regimen, and the play of his former University of Dayton and current Fire teammate Dasan Robinson, who is also heading to the Home Depot Center to train with the United States after the New Year. To read the interview, click on the following link: Earlier this month, United States Soccer announced that Rolfe and Robinson will join the 29-man training camp roster that will begin workouts on Jan. 4 at U.S. Soccer's National Training Center at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. U.S. Men's National Team interim Head Coach Bob Bradley selected Robinson and Rolfe, along with additional MLS-based players, to prepare for the United States first match of 2007, a friendly against Denmark on Jan. 20 at The Home Depot Center. As UD's all-time assist leader with 25, Rolfe was selected to the 2004 NSCAA/adidas Men's NCAA Division I All-America Second Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and was a First Team All-Atlantic 10 pick. Rolfe ranks sixth in career goals (31) and third in points (87). |
