UD DROPS DUKES IN MEN'S SOCCER, 1-0

The Flyers bounced back for a 1-0 win over Duquense in Pittsburgh, Sunday on a goal by Chris Rolfe (Kettering, OH). On an indirect kick, Tye Stebbins (Zionsville, IN) touched the ball before Rolfe found the back of the net for his first goal of the season.

Rolfe, a preseason all-Atlantic 10 pick playing in his third game of the year, placed the ball over the wall and into the top corner in the 59th minutes. Stebbins picks up his second assist of the season for his team leading 1oth point.

Freshman goalkeeper Matt Troop (Peachtree City, GA) made three saves to pick up his first career shutout and fourth win of the year. The Flyers are 4-1-0 in his five starts this season.

After out-shooting St. Bonaventure 19-5 in a 2-0 loss on Friday, the Flyers were out-shot 14-6 by Duquesne but take home the victory.

Tony DiBello (Chesterland, OH) made his first start of the year in place of Dasan Robinson (Elyria, OH), who came off the bench.

The Flyers move to even at 1-1 in the A-10 and 4-4-1 on the season, while Duquesne falls to 5-5-0 and 1-1-0 in the league. Dayton returns to Baujan Field on Friday to host Saint Joseph's in a 7:30 p.m. Atlantic 10 contest.
