ST. LOUIS - UD seniors Nick Tarkany and Omar Jarun were named to the 2005 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team following Sunday's final match. Tarkany made 14 saves in two games and Jarun scored the game-tying goal Friday in the semifinal tie versus Saint Louis.

Jarun's goal on Friday was his 10th of the season, heading in a restart by Damion Blackburn in the 62nd minute. The 6-5 forward from Peachtree City, GA, led the Flyers in scoring in the regular season and finished second in the Atlantic 10 in goals scored. Blackburn led UD in scoring in the tournament with three assists in two games.

Tarkany, the Flyers' goalkeeper, made five saves in Thursday's 3-1 win over Charlotte, and made nine saves versus Saint Louis in the semis. The Miamisburg, OH native kept the Flyers in the match through two overtimes, repeatedly thwarting the highest scoring offense in the conference. He allowed two goals in 200 minutes of action for a 0.90 goals against average.

The Flyers (11-5-4) tied SLU after two overtimes, but the Billikens advanced with a 5-4 edge in penalty kicks. Saint Louis was eliminated Sunday by Rhode Island, in a 5-4 penalty kick decision after the game remained tied 2-2 after two overtimes. Rhode Island will represent the Atlantic 10 as an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship. The 48-team field will be announced Monday at 4:00 p.m. on ESPNEWS.
