Complete Game Notes 
The University of Dayton will honor six seniors Friday night as the Flyers play in their final home weekend series this season: Alex Davis, Florian DeCamps, Isaac Kissi, Daniel March, Joe Olwig and Simeon Zapryanov. The pre-game ceremony will have a special international feel to it as four of the six seniors hail from overseas: DeCamps is from France, Kissi is from Ghana, March is from Wales and Zapryanov is from Bulgaria. After each player is announced, their country's national anthem will be played. After the pre-game recognition the Flyers will strive to keep their unbeaten Atlantic 10 record intact. UD takes to Baujan Field to battle Fordham at 7 p.m. Friday night and then hosts La Salle Sunday at 1 p.m.
The UD men's soccer team will be wearing pink arm bands to show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They will also be accepting donations with all proceeds going to breast cancer research.
FREE FOR ALL
Flyer fans will get their first look at both the men's and women's basketball teams on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Red & Blue Game from UD Arena. Admission is free and open to the public. Doors open at 9 a.m. ET and the first 500 fans in attendance will receive complimentary donuts and milk. Free vouchers will also be given for the Flyer football game as Dayton hosts the Valparaiso Crusaders starting at 1 p.m. ET from Welcome Stadium. The ticket stub from the football game will admit one patron to the men's soccer game vs. La Salle on Oct. 26 at Baujan Field for its 1 p.m. kickoff.
FLYER NOTES
Dayton (9-2-2 overall and 3-0-1 in A-10) is heading into week three of Atlantic 10 still unbeaten.
UD is second in the Atlantic 10 in points (84), third in goals (37) and ranked first in the conference for assists (29)
Senior Florian DeCamps and junior Alex Torda lead the Flyers in scoring with six goals each, tied for fourth in the Atlantic 10 for goals scored.
Senior Florian DeCamps and junior Zach Weiss have dished four assists each while senior Simeon Zapryanov, juniors Ben Murray and sophomore Tommy Watkins have three assists each to lead Dayton. The Flyers have threats all over the field as 15 different UD players have been credited with an assist this season.
Senior Florian DeCamps has scored four game-winning goals (first in the A-10) while freshman Jack Pearson has scored three game winners, all off headers, for the Flyers.
Redshirt freshman Tyler Picard is still making a big impact in goal for the Flyers. He posted two shutouts in his first full week of action, missing the start of the season due to injuries. He has twice been named A-10 Rookie of the Week. The second time he earned the honor he posted back-to-back shutouts against nationally-ranked opponents (No. 26 Charlotte and No. 15 Saint Louis. His four shutouts are tied for fifth in the A-10. He owns a 0.85 goals against average and a 7-0-1 record.
The Flyers are 7-0-0 at Baujan Field this year and have an 18-game unbeaten streak (15-0-3) at home dating back to Oct. 28, 2006.
The Flyers have posted five shutouts this season and in 10 of their 13 games have allowed one goal or less.
Dayton's five goals against Robert Morris (Sept. 21) was a season high. The last time Dayton scored five or more goals was a 6-1 win over Duquesne on Nov. 11, 2007. The Flyers have scored three or more goals in seven of their 13 games.
SERIES INFO
In the series againt Fordham, Dayton leads 9-3-0. The last time the two teams faced off was Oct. 21, 2007 when the Flyers were defeated, 1-0.
In the La Salles series, Dayton owns a 10-6-0 record. In the last matchup between the two A-10 foes, UD was victorious over La Salle with a with a 2-1 win Oct. 19, 2007
SCOUTING FORDHAM
Although losing their first A-10 match to Charlotte (ranked No. 21 at the time) the Rams (6-5-1 Overall, 2-1-0 in the A-10) produced a huge two-game winning streak against A-10 foes, defeating La Salle 2-0 and Saint Louis (then-ranked No. 9) 1-0.
The Rams are 2-2-0 on the road, while the Flyers are 7-0-0 at home.

Fordham has had a slight edge over their opponents outscoring them 17-13. The Rams are tied for second in goals allowed (13) and tied for third in shutouts (5) in the A-10
Sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Meara starting all 12 games for a total of 1105:13 in the net has tallied 37 saves, placing his first in the conference with a save percentage of .889. Meara has posted five shutouts, tied for third in the A-10. He was recently named to the Soccer America Men's Soccer Team of the Week for his six saves (three in each half) in a 1-0 win over previously unbeaten Saint Louis.
10 seems to be the magic number for the Rams as 10 different players have scored goals and 10 different players have tallied assists this season
Freshman Matt Courtenay leads the Ram offense in goals (4) and points (8). Leaders in assists are freshman Tim Richardson and senior John Pardini with three each.
SCOUTING LA SALLE
On the road, the Explorers are 2-7-1 and the Flyers are 7-0-0 at home
The Explorers (2-8-3 overall, 1-2-0 in A-10) are coming off a 2-0 loss to A-10 rival Fordham. Quigley had four saves in goal, but La Salle couldn't get points on the board.
Eight different Explorers have scored goals this season with 6 of them scoring multiple goals. While 12 different players have posted assists on the season.
Ryan Ritcher leads the Explorer offense with five goals and 12 points. Kevin Lydic also has five goals on the season while Brian Barry is leading in assists with 5.
Time in the net had been split between three players. Red shirt freshman Kyle Quigley has played in 3 games for a total of 278:00 minutes in goal with 17 saves (.810). Senior Andrew Bernhard has played in 11 games for 876:57 minutes in the net and tallied 76 saves (.854). Senior Dan Pfeiffer has played in 6 games for a total of 460:43 minutes in goal posting 28 saves (.683).
Pat Farrell enters his 22nd season at the helm as head coach with career record of 176-207-33.
GETTING NOTICED
After its recent 1-0 upset of then-ranked No. 15 Saint Louis, UD has moved up and is receiving recognition in several national polls. They are ranked the highest at No. 16 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com 2008 Men's Tournament 48 Ranking, which is a running attempt to project the postseason tournament qualifiers, including every automatic conference berth. Dayton is the highest ranked Atlantic 10 team ranked in this poll. In the TopDrawerSoccer.com Poll UD, the only unbeaten men's soccer team in conference play in the A-10, is ranked 29th in the College Soccer News - Top 30 National Poll. The Flyers are also ranked 20th in the Soccer America Top 25 Poll. After moving up two spots to No. 2 in the NSCAA/adidas® Middle Atlantic Region Poll, the Flyers also received 30 votes in the NSCAA National Poll and are currently ranked No. 27.
ATLANTIC 10 ACCOLADES
Alex Torda was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 13 for his outstanding performance in the opening weekend of conference play. Torda led all league players with seven points, amassing three goals and an assist as the Dayton Flyers improved to 8-2-1 overall and 2-0-0 in the A-10. The Hermann Trophy Watch candidate scored two goals in Dayton's 4-3 win against Richmond. He followed that performance with a goal and the game-winning assist in the Flyers' 3-1 victory over George Washington.
Senior Florian DeCamps and Tyler Picard were selected to the Atlantic 10 Fall Sports Honor Roll on Sept. 22 for their stellar play in the Dayton Flyer Courtyard by Marriott Tournament. It marks the first time that two UD players have ever been honored in the same week. It's the second A-10 honor for DeCamps, who was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week in 2006. Picard earned the honor for the first time in his career.
Picard earned his second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for Oct. 20 for posting two shutouts against two nationally ranked teams. He finished with 11 saves on the weekend and since he has been named starting goalkeeper, the Flyers are on an eight-game unbeaten streak (8-0-2). He made a career-high eight saves in 110 minutes of scoreless action against the 49ers, the A-10 leaders in goals scored. He went on to post three saves in a 1-0 shutout upset over No. 15 Saint Louis. Picard also earned national recognition for his performances this weekend against the 49ers and Billikens. He was named to the College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer National Teams of the Week.
