The Dayton Flyers men's soccer program released its 2008 schedule with 18 regular-season contests, as well a home exhibition game against the Kentucky Wildcats in mid-August.

Dayton will play nine regular season home games at Baujan Field, a venue where UD went 7-0-2 last season. In addition the Flyers will participate in four tournaments in 2008 with two invitationals held at Baujan Field.

UD opens the 2008 campaign with the Dayton Flyer Marriott Invitational on August 29 and 31. The three-team tournament features Dayton, the Denver Pioneers, Wisconsin Badgers and the Wright State Raiders. Dayton will host Denver on Friday, Aug. 29 and Wright State on Sunday, Aug. 31.

The Flyers then kick off the month of September at the Middleton Sports & Fitness Invitational in Madison, Wis. UD will play the UW-Milwaukee Panthers on Friday, Sept. 5 and then take on the Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday, Sept. 7.

The following weekend Dayton zips over to Wilmington, N.C. for the UNCW Courtyard by Marriott Classic. Dayton plays the UNC Wilmington Seahawks on Friday, Sept. 14 and finishes up the tournament with a match against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Sunday, Sept. 16.

A five-game home stand then awaits the Flyers as UD will host another invitational, the Dayton Flyer Courtyard by Marriot Tournament. Dayton will be joined in the four-team tournament by the Butler Bulldogs, Robert Morris Colonials and the Marshall Thundering Herd. UD plays Marshall on Friday, Sept. 19 and Robert Morris on Sunday, Sept. 21.

The final non-conference game of the season features UD hosting the Southern Illinois-Evansville Cougars on Friday, Sept. 26.

Conference play begins in October as UD opens the Atlantic 10 campaign with home games against the Richmond Spiders on Friday, Oct. 10 and the George Washington Colonials on Sunday, Oct. 12.

UD then embarks on a two-game road swing battling the Charlotte 49ers on Friday, Oct. 17 and the Saint Louis Billikens on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Dayton returns home for a showdown against the Fordham Rams on Friday, Oct. 24. Senior Day will be held on Sunday, Oct. 26 as the Flyers host the La Salle Explorers.

The Flyers close out the regular season with three consecutive road contests. UD visits the Temple Owls on Friday, Oct. 31 and the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Sunday, Nov. 2.

UD and the Xavier Musketeers close out conference play on Saturday, Nov. 8 in Cincinnati.

The Flyers finished the 2007 season with a 10-4-5 overall record and advanced to the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Championship.
