Former University of Dayton men's soccer forward Chris Rolfe continues to make headlines after earning the Major League Soccer Goal of the Week on Wednesday.

Rolfe's goal proved to be the game-winner as the Chicago Fire picked up a resounding 3-0 victory on Saturday over the New England Revolution.

This is the second time in his career Rolfe earned the MLS Goal of the Week. He also achieved the feat last season on Sept. 27, 2007.

Through three games this season with the Fire, Rolfe has three points thanks to a goal and an assist. Last year Rolfe recorded six goals and three assists in 19 regular season games.

Rolfe has helped the Fire to second place this season in the Eastern Standings at 4-1-1 overall.

Rolfe isn't the only former Dayton Flyer on the Chicago Fire roster. Dasan Robinson is also helping the Fire's cause. At UD, Robinson played in 68 games between 2002 and 2005 and was selected by the Fire in the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft.

As UD's all-time assist leader with 25, Rolfe was selected to the 2004 NSCAA/adidas® Men's NCAA Division I All-America Second Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and was a First Team All-Atlantic 10 pick. Rolfe ranks sixth in career goals (31) and third in points (87) on the Dayton charts as well.
