CASHIERS, N.C. - The University of Dayton men's golf team ended its fall season with a 10th-place finish at the Western Carolina University Intercollegiate in Cashiers, N.C. Tuesday. Freshman Rob Chappell finished in a tie for 15th to lead the Flyers.

The freshman carded back-to-back rounds of 74 (+3) over the two-day tournament, which was played at the par-71, 6,404-yard Trillium Links. For the tournament, Chappell's 148 (+6) was good for a tie for 15th place.

Senior Adam Myers was the Flyers' leader after Monday's round with a 73 (+2). He fired an 80 on Tuesday and finished tied for 32nd overall with a 153 (+11). Senior Brett Gould posted scores of 77 and 78 to finish tied for 38th with a 155. Junior John Zaller shot a 164 (84-80) and sophomore Matt Doherty carded a 165 (77-88).

UAB won the team title, shooting a 570 to beat out Radford by 18 stokes. Lipscomb (589), Charleston Southern (592) and Elon (593) rounded out the top five. UAB's Garrett Osborn won medalist honors with a 136 (-6).
