PHILADELPHIA - Dayton freshman Kenny Wittenberg closed the fall season by grabbing Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors for men's golf. Wittenberg, a graduate of Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, received the honor in recognition of his 14-over par finish at the Western Carolina Intercollegiate Championship over the weekend. Wittenberg's score helped lead Dayton to an 11th place finish.

Wittenberg finishes the fall season with the second best stroke average of 74.5 among the Flyer squad. Coach Drew Tyrer's team will resume spring play at the CSU Spring Kickoff in North Charleston, South Carolina.
