Coming off a disappointing finish in their last outing, the Dayton Flyers men's golf team looks to get back on track at the 20th annual Leo Keenan Invitational.

The invitational will take place on Sunday, Oct. 5 and Monday, Oct. 6 from Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y. This is the first time UD has participated in the Leo Keenan Invite.

In their last tournament, the Cardinal Classic, the Flyers finished in 15th out of 15 teams.

One of the few bright spots was sophomore Chris Woeste who continued his strong fall season after shooting a one-under par 71 in the third and final round. Woeste, who tied for 32nd among individuals, completed the tournament with a 219 total after firing a 73 and 75 in rounds one and two.

Woeste, the 2008 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, is tied for third on the team in stroke average at 76.0. Senior Rob Chappell leads UD in stroke average at 74.6.

As a team UD is shooting 301.11 strokes per round, which is slightly down from last fall when the Flyers averaged 302.08 strokes.

Other teams competing for the tournament championship include Canisius, Wagner, Duquesne, La Salle, Long Island, Niagara, Ottawa, Rider, Robert Morris, Temple, Saint Francis, St. Bonaventure and Youngstown State.
