WOESTE'S 71 HIGHLIGHTS UD'S EFFORT AT CARDINAL CLASSIC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sophomore Chris Woeste continued his strong play after shooting a one-under par 71 in the third and final round of the Cardinal Classic. Woeste, who tied for 32nd among individuals, completed the tournament with a 219 total after firing a 73 and 75 in rounds one and two. Senior Rob Chappell was close behind after recording a 76 in his third round. Chappell placed in a tie for 63rd after carding a 76 and 77 in his previous two rounds. Senior Nick Trubee wrapped up a consistent tournament with a final round 78 to go with his 75 and 78 a day earlier. Trubee finished with a 231 and in a tie for 65th. Just one stroke behind Trubee was sophomore Zach Glassman who shot an 80 in round three. Glassman had back-to-back rounds of 76 in day one of the classic. Rounding out the scoring was senior Mitch Custenborder who added a third round 79 and completed the tournament with a 240 total. Dayton placed in 15th out of 15 squads with a three-day total of 909. UD looks to get back on track at the Leo Keenan Invitational from Oct. 5-6 held at the Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y. |
