WOESTE POSTS STRONG EFFORT AT CARDINAL CLASSIC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sophomore Chris Woeste led the Dayton Flyers with rounds of 73 and 75 after the first two rounds of the Cardinal Classic. Woeste is tied for 37th overall among individuals and shot two of his best rounds for the fall season. Teammate Zach Glassman was not far behind him, shooting back-to-back scores of 76 for a total score of 152. Seniors Rob Chappell and Nick Trubee each tied for a total score of 153. Chappell carded rounds of 76 and 77 while Trubee finished his first two rounds with a 75 and 78. Mitch Custenborder, also a senior, shot an 84 in the first round but dropped his next score seven strokes to finish with a 77 for a combined score of 161. The team had a total score of 300 in the first round, putting them in 11th place. However, a score of 305 in the second round dropped them into 15th place. Dayton will complete the third and final round of the Cardinal Classic on Tuesday, Sept. 30. |
