FLYERS FINISH STRONG DESPITE BATTLING HIGH WINDS AT WOLF RUN INTERCOLLEGIATE

Complete Results in PDF Format ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - Fighting windy weather conditions on the final day of the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, the Dayton Flyers played a solid 18 holes of golf. Shooting a team best 81 in the final round, senior Sam Morton capped an impressive tournament en route to his best finish of the spring season. Morton, who finished the tournament with five birdies, totaled an 81 for the day good enough to earn him a tie for 34th place. Sophomore Rob Chappell shot an 89 to finish the tournament with a 165. Chappell tied with fellow teammate Mark Juve, who shot an 86 to also finish with a total score of 165. Senior John Zaller rounded out competition for the Flyers in a tie for 77th place. As a team, UD shot a first round score of 345 and a final round tally of 341 to finish with a 686 and placing in 13th. The Flyers will return to action on their home turf for the UD Spring Invitational taking place April 23 and 24 from the NCR Country Club. |
