FLYERS TAKE SEVENTH IN BULLOCK COLLEGE CLASSIC

FAIRBORN, Ohio - The University of Dayton Men's Golf Team competed in the Norm Bullock College Classic this weekend, finishing up the three round tournament Monday. The Flyers finished seventh as a team, with freshman Rob Chappell finishing second individually. Chappell, who shot a three round total of 219 (74-71-74), finished one behind the eventual winner of the tournament, Dustin Sloat of Eastern Illinois. The team competition was won by Morehead State University, which shot a three day total of 898. Also competing for the Flyers was senior Brett Gould, who finished tied for 21st, with a three round total of 231 (76-79-76). Junior John Zaller finished tied for 30th while freshmen Nick Trubee and Matthew Friend finished tied for 42nd and 65th, respectively. Next up for the Flyers is the UD Spring Invitational, to be held April 23rd and 24th at Shaker Run Golf Course in Dayton. After that, they finish up their spring season in Orlando, FL at the Atlantic 10 Championship. |
