PGA professional and former Miami Valley Golf Club Director of Operations Chris Hale enters his second season with the Dayton Flyers. In 2008-09 Hale served as the team's head coach. Dayton finished the 2008-09 season in seventh place at the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship. In June 2009, Hale down from the head position and will assume a role as the volunteer assistant coach for the Flyers. Hale, who achieved PGA membership in February 1973, comes to UD after serving as the Director of Golf Operations at the Miami Valley Golf Club. Since November 2005, Hale helped develop and maintain a budge of up to $3.5 million, managed the golf operations staff and improved golf teaching programs. A Dayton native, Hale's other duties during his 30-year career include serving as the head golf club professional at Cassel Hills Golf Course in Vandalia, Ohio and owning and operating the Penn Terra Golf Course in Brookville, Ohio. |
