    Rick Chamberlin - Head Coach
    Chamberlin is in his 29th season on the Flyer coaching staff and his first as the head coach. He has been with the Flyer football program longer than any other member of the staff. His involvement began in 1975, when he was a four-year letterwinner at linebacker. Chamberlin is the 23rd head football coach since the program began in 1905. He is the first of the 11 modern era coaches to have lettered for the Flyers, and the second to be a graduate of the University of Dayton. Chamberlin's guidance, the Flyers have led the Pioneer Football League in scoring defense the last seven seasons, including finishing second in NCAA Division I-AA (9.8) in 2002, third (14.1) in 2005 and fourth in FCS in 2007 (15.6). In 2004, Dayton led NCAA Division I-AA football in total defense (263.10).

    Dave Whilding - Offensive Coordinator
    Whilding enters his 31st season at UD, marking his 27th coaching the quarterbacks and his 25th as offensive coordinator. In the entire time Whilding has been with the Flyers, no Dayton team has been shut out. With Whilding directing the UD attack, three different Dayton quarterbacks led their respective NCAA divisions in passing efficiency in a five-year period in the early 1990's.

    Chris Ochs - Assistant Coach
    Ochs enters his eighth year with the Flyers. In the last seven seasons, the Flyers have been in top five in NCAA I-AA in rushing yardage per game four times. Ochs came to UD from Defiance College, where he had been an assistant coach since 1996. At Defiance, he served as both offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Prior to that he was an assistant at Southern Illinois University where he coached the offensive line while getting his masters in educational administration and higher education.

    Landon Fox - Assistant Coach
    Fox, who will coach the Dayton secondary, had been a graduate assistant coach for the Flyers in 2002 and 2003. Dayton was 20-3 in Fox's two seasons working under then-head coach Mike Kelly and then-defensive coordinator Rick Chamberlin. The Flyers won their first of two NCAA Division I-AA Mid-Major national championships while going 11-1 in 2002, and then turned in a 9-2 campaign in 2003.

    Patrick Henry - Assistant Coach
    The Avon, Ohio native graduated Defiance College in 2005 Defiance College after becoming a three-year letter winner as a quarterback. Henry was a member of the 2001 Heartland Athletic Conference Championship team and NCAA DIII playoff qualifier. From 2006 to 2007 he served as a Graduate Assistant at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a Masters of Education degree. He will be coaching wide receivers for Dayton.

    James Stanley - Assistant Coach
    From 1997 to 2002 played defensive back at the University of Toledo. Stanley was a four year letter winner and played pro ball in the arena league for four years. Before Dayton, Stanley served as an assistant football coach at Fairborn High school where he also taught. This will be his first year working with the defensive secondary.
