AT DAYTON:
Zapinski lettered as a freshman, seeing action in nine games in the 2007 season. He carried the ball 16 times and gained 86 yards (4.9 yards per attempt) and scored a TD.

In the 2008 season, Zapinski saw action in eight games. Andrew carried the ball 10 times and was 6th on the team in rushing with 51 net yards. He is a member of the 2008 PFL Academic Honor Roll.

PERSONAL:
Son of Rob and Sue Zapinski....Born on January 29, 1989....Has one brother and two sisters....Majoring in Education at UD....Andy was a three-sport team captain (football, basketball, baseball). He was First Team 3A All-Illinois, an All-State selection in football and a three-time All-Conference honoree in both football and baseball. He was a member of National Honor Society and finished top 15 of his class.
