AT DAYTON: In the 2005 season, Wintering started in all ten games where he was credited with 35 tackles (12 solo). Wintering took over as the starting left defensive end in 2004 and came through with 21 hits (eight solo). He accounted for three tackles in the backfield, a sack, a fumble recovery and two passes batted down. He played in five games as a sophomore, with three tackles. Two of his hits in 2003 came in the backfield, including one sack. He was named Second Team Academic All-PFL in 2005 and is a three-time member of the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Son of Jim and Sue Wintering...Born on October 1, 1983...Majoring in Finance...He was captain of both the football and basketball teams in high school. He was selected first team all-league in football, All-Central Ohio and Second Team All-Ohio.
