AT DAYTON: Whitten is being to start at right tackle this season, and playing in all 12 games and earning his first letter in 2007. He redshirted his freshman season, and then did not see any game action in 2006 as he was moved from the defensive line to offense. He was named a Scout Team Player of the Week once in 2006.

PERSONAL: Son of Tim and Debbie Whitten...Born on February 1, 1987...Majoring in Civil Engineering...Was first team all-conference in three sports at Big Walnut, and finished third in the state in wrestling. He was a member of the National Honor Society.
