AT DAYTON: In the 2005 season, Weale played in seven of the season's ten games (starting in four). He was credited with 25 tackles (13 solo) and one sack. Weale was UD's third-leading tackler in 2004, even though he only started three games. After serving most of 2004 as UD's third `backer, he moved into the starting lineup alongside John Hoppe. Weale had 50 tackles in 2004, with 6.5 in the backfield. He also had two sacks, two fumbles recovered and two passes broken up. Weale played in three games as a sophomore, and was credited with three tackles and an assisted hit in the backfield. PERSONAL: Son of Gerald and Virginia Weale...Born on December 7, 1983...Majoring in Marketing...He was team captain and Most Valuable Defensive Player in high school. He was selected first team all-conference in football. He was a four-year letterwinner in track. Away from sports, he is an Eagle Scout. |
