    At Dayton:
Back eight months after suffering a knee injury, he started six games and played in all 12 contests of the 2008 season for the Flyers. Watkins caught 16 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns, which was tied for second on the team. He also had one carry for 13 yards and a key touchdown vs. Butler.

In 2007 the redshirt sophomore led Dayton in yards per catch (17.8) and is UD's top returning receiver with 20 catches. Six of his receptions were for TD's, which was tied for second on the team. He is the third Flyer receiver to take on the recent tradition of UD's top returning wideout switching to the #1 jersey. Michigan native and UD's second-leading career receiver Ryan Wrobleski started it in 2003 and third-leading receiver Nick Ruhe picked up the baton in 2005.

    Watkins redshirted the 2006 season.
