    At Dayton:
After two seasons as a downfield threat in the Flyers' wideout rotation, Justin Watkins moves into the starting 11 full-time in 2009. In 2007 the redshirt sophomore caught 20 balls and led Dayton in yards per catch (17.8). Six of his receptions were for TD's, which was tied for second on the team. He tore is ACL in the final regular season game of the year, but came back eight months afterwards and started six games and played in all 12 contests of the 2008 season for the Flyers. Watkins caught 16 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns, which was tied for second on the team. His 17.9 yards per catch were also second on the team. He also had one carry for 13 yards and a key touchdown vs. Butler. He is the third Flyer receiver to take on the recent tradition of UD's top returning wideout switching to the #1 jersey. Michigan native and UD's second-leading career receiver Ryan Wrobleski started it in 2003 and third-leading receiver Nick Ruhe picked up the baton in 2005. Watkins made the move in 2008. He is a two-time member of the PFL Honor Roll.
