AT DAYTON: Vossler came to UD as a linebacker, but after redshirting the 2004 season, moved to defensive end. He is a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for the Flyers. He is a four-time member of the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

He played in all ten games in 2006, with 21 tackles (12 solo), including 2.5 tackles in the backfield and two sacks. In 2005, he was credited with 14 tackles (5 unassisted).

During the 2007 season, Scott played in all 12 games for the Flyers getting 68 tackles, 32 solo and 36 assisted. He also had 9 sacks (ranking second in the PFL and 14th nationally) for a combined 67 yards. In tackles behind the line, Vossler was third in the league. His six fumbles forced were exactly half of UD's 12 on the season and matched the team's total in 2006. Vossler received first team Sports Network Mid-Major All-America honors and also landed a spot on the first team All-League team.

In the 2008 season, Vossler was a two-time PFL Player of the Week earning PFL Defensive Player of The Year honors. He finished 10th among all PFL tacklers with 6.3 tackles per game, posting a total of 76 in 12 contests. He ranked second in the conference in sacks and tackles for loss, averaging 0.71 and 0.21 per game respectively. He tallied two touchdowns on the season. The Associated Press named Vossler to the FCS All-America Second Team. He led the Flyers in seven categories - sacks (8.5), interceptions (3), QB hurries (7), fumble recoveries (3), fumbles forced (3, tied) and blocked kicks (3). He was a team co-captain and recipient of UD's White-Allen Most Valuable Player award.

PERSONAL: Son of Dennis and Pam Vossler...Born on June 24, 1985...Majoring in Middle Childhood Education... He was team captain in football, basketball and baseball at Memorial High. In football, he was first team all-conference and First Team All-Northwest Ohio. He averaged more than 20 points a game in basketball.
