AT DAYTON: In 2008, Vossler returned to start at safety. He led the team in tackles with 76, 48 of those solo. Vossler also added an interception and a fumble recovery. In 2007 Vossler earned his second letter in his first season as a starter. He was third on the team in tackles with 71, 31 of those solo tackles. He also was team co-leader with three interceptions (for 51 yards). He added two fumble recoveries and broke up three passes. Vossler played in eight games with one start in 2006. He had 36 tackles (23 solo) as a soph. His brother Scott is a defensive end and captain for the Flyers. Corey was a member of the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 PFL Academic Honor Rolls. PERSONAL: Son of Dennis and Pam Vossler...Born on May 12, 1986...Majoring in Mechanical Engineering...Was a three-year, two-way starter for St. Marys Memorial's football team. He was All-Northwest Ohio, Western Buckeye League Defensive Player of the Year and team captain. He carried a 4.0 GPA in high school, and was a member of the National Honor Society. |
