AT DAYTON:
Valentino's job description has gone from redshirt freshman quarterback, to backup quarterback who can also play wide receiver, to all-league wide receiver who is also a threat to run or pass the ball. Throw in his roles as a kickoff and punt returner, as holder for PAT's and field goals, designated kick blocker, team captain and yes, emergency quarterback, and it's easy to see why he is one of the PFL's top impact players. Valentino was a new starter at a new position in 2008, and he earned First Team All-PFL honors as a wideout and honorable mention PFL honors as a kick returner. He was honored after catching 50 passes (2nd on the team) for 626 yards (1st) and four TD's (1st) and averaging team-best 23.9 yards on kickoff returns and 11.8 yards on punt returns. The fastest Flyer (4.47 in the 40) was in the top five in the PFL in receiving yards per game (5th, 52.2), punt return average (5th, 11.8), kickoff return average (2nd, 23.9) and all-purpose yards per game (4th, 122.2). He earned his first letter during the 2007 season, seeing action in 11 games for the Flyers, running 11 times for 56 yards and a TD, completing three of five passes for three yards and returning two punts for 26 yards. Valentino is a two-time member of the PFL Academic Honor Roll, and was Second Team Academic All-PFL in 2008.

Son of Frank and Linda Valentino...Born on October 30, 1987...Majoring in Entrepreneurship... Valentino was a three sport captain at Solon (football, basketball and baseball), was named County Player of the Year and a First Team All Ohio safety as a senior. He was named the MVP of the East-West Greater Cleveland Coaches Association All-Star Game. He was point guard on the basketball team and MVP of the baseball team. He was also a member of National Honor Society. His sister Jessica was a gymnast at Miami.
