Craig Turner is in his 11th year with the Dayton Flyers. He coaches UD's defensive tackles and serves as special teams coordinator.

Turner has been teaching and coaching since 1973. He was an assistant coach at Trotwood Madison, Alter and Northmont schools in the Dayton area. He was head coach at Brookville High School for seven years, where he led them to six league championships, six playoff berths and a 62-8 regular-season record. He also served as head coach at Arcanum High School, going 29-13 at that school. As a high school coach, Turner received Coach of the Year honors on seven different occasions.

Turner graduated from Bluffton College in 1973. He received his master's degree from Wright State University and his computer science certification from UD.

He and his wife, Sharon, both teach in the Brookville School District and have five children - Aaron, Stephanie, Bret, Casey and Brandon (who is deceased).
