AT DAYTON: In 2005, Schmall started in all ten games and made two catches for a season total of 48 yards (24.0 avg.). He also played in all ten games in 2004 where he caught three passes (most among tight ends) for 43 yards (14.3 avg.). Schmall played in three games as a sophomore. He was the 2004 winner of the John L. Macbeth Scholar-Athlete Award, which goes to the Flyer upperclassman with the best cumulative GPA. He was also named to the Pioneer Football League All-Academic Team in both 2004 and 2005, and is a two-time member of the PFL Academic Honor Roll.
