AT DAYTON: Scheidler is battling it out with Blake Saul for time at center this season, after seeing time in six game as a reserve in 2007. He redshirted as a freshman. He was a member of the 2006 PFL Academic Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Son of Joseph and Leigh Scheidler...Born on May 30, 1987...Majoring in Education...Scheidler was First Team All-GCL and co captain as a senior in high school. He won Moeller's Whitey Campbell Spirit Award. He was student body president and a member of the National Honor Society, and earned a "Man of Moeller" Award. His father Joe, uncle Stan and grandfather Earl were all standout soccer players at UD, and his uncle Pete was a three-year letterwinner in football for the Flyers.
