AT DAYTON:
After playing in eight games and starting two (including the overtime win at Butler), Pechan appeared to have the inside track at succeeding Rob Florian at quarterback for the Flyers. But an-on-the-job accident suffered over the summer required surgery on his right (throwing) shoulder and put him out for the 2009 campaign. He completed 32 of 54 passes (.593) for 377 yards and three touchdowns in 2008. He also rushed a total of 104 yards, which resulted in two touchdowns. As a freshman, Pechan redshirted the season. He was a member of the 2008 PFL Academic Honor Roll.

PERSONAL:
Son of Don and Sue Pechan....Born on September 5, 1988....Majoring in Business Accounting at UD....Pechan was selected Special Mention All-Illinois his senior year for St. Charles North High School. He was Third Team Upstate 8 as well as recipient of academic all-conference honors.
