DAYTON: Overman is listed as the starting right guard after lettering last year as a backup and as UD's long snapper. He played in 10 games rotating in at guard, and also added two tackles on punt coverage. He did not see any game action in 2005. His father Howie (who was also his high school coach) started on the line for UD's first NCAA Division III playoff team in 1978. He was on the 2006 PFL Academic Honor Roll. PERSONAL: Son of Howard and Pat Overman...Born on October 28, 1986...Majoring in Education...Was a three-sport (football, basketball, and track) captain in high school. He was Northwest Ohio Lineman of the Year, and First Team All-Ohio. He earned nine letters in high school (four in track, three in football and two in basketball). He was a state qualifier in the shot put as a junior and senior. |
