McQuiston moves over one spot to defensive tackle after starting all 11 games at middle guard last season. He had 13 tackles (6 solo) in 2003, with three hits in the backfield. He also had one sack and two fumble recoveries. He lettered as a sophomore, playing in 11 of 12 games and demonstrating a knack for getting into the enemy backfield. He was in on just 7.5 tackles in limited action, but included in those numbers were three hits behind the line, and two sacks. He also had two QB pressures. As a freshman, he was named Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year for the Flyers. He is a three-time member of the PFL honor roll. PERSONAL Son of Jerry and Cathy McQuiston...Born on April 8, 1983...Majoring in Communication Management...In high school, he was team captain, team MVP, first team all-conference and First Team All-Indiana. He was a member of the National Honor Society. He is the president of UD's chapter of Athletes in Action. |
