AT DAYTON: A fullback with a career yards-per-carry average over 5.0 is something many teams want, but few have. UD is one of the few, thanks to Marshall. In the 2007 season, Marshall saw action in all 12 games. He rushed a net 252 yards for the season, recording one touchdown. Marshall was moved from tailback to fullback during pre-season in 2004, and the move agreed with him. He earned his first letter in 2004, he played in all 10 games (starting four) and was fifth on the team in rushing (behind UD's alternating tailbacks and quarterbacks), but had the best per-carry average of any Flyer ball carriers out of the backfield. Marshall had 251 net yards on 35 carries (7.2 avg.) with four rushing TD's. In 2005, he played in all ten games where he rushed for 139 yards and made one touchdown. Last year, he played in all ten games again and had 39 carries for 165 yards. He is a three-time member Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll and is an Arthur Ashe Scholar-Athlete. PERSONAL: Son of Rodney and Karyn Marshall...Born on March 7, 1985...Majoring in Management Information Systems...Marshall was team captain, two-time team MVP, first team all-league, All-Southwest Ohio, Second Team All-Ohio, First Team All-Cincinnati and Division VI Player of the Year.
