Patrick Henry joined the Flyer football program in the spring of 2007. He will work again with UD's receivers. Henry's first two seasons saw two of his charges set the UD single-season record for receptions. JMichael Jonard caught 64 passes in 2007, and Justin Millio surpassed that by three in 2008.

Coaching wideouts is the same capacity Henry held in two years at Clarion University. In addition to working with Clarion's receivers Henry was involved in the program's opponent scouting and self-scouting.

He played quarterback for Defiance College, lettering three seasons. While at Defiance, he was part of a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship team. Henry earned his bachelor's in secondary education from Defiance in 2005, and his master's in education from Clarion in 2006.

While an undergrad, he was involved in Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and was a mentor at St. Mary Catholic School in Defiance. He was the primary staff organizer for UD's highly successful Lift-A-Thon that benefitted the National Breast Cancer Foundation in 2009.
